Luke, Sierra, and Cole
Cole glanced up from his desk to see Luke coming into his office. The man never bothered to knock. Not that he necessarily expected him to.
“Will you be done soon?”
Cole glanced back down at the papers on his desk, then back up to Luke. “An hour, maybe?”
Luke stepped to the side, as though he were making way for… Sierra stepped in, and Luke shut the door behind them both.
“Hey,” Cole greeted his wife, leaning back in his chair after dropping his pen on the desk. “What’re you doing here?”
“I just stopped by to say hello. To make sure my boys didn’t need anything.”
Cole glanced up at Luke. Yeah, the other man had the exact same expression Cole did.
They fucking loved when she stopped by to check on them. That was code for she was ready to get down and dirty right there in one of their offices. Cole was the lucky one today.
LUCIE & KANE
TAG & MCKENNA
ALEX & ASHLEIGH
“What about this?” Alex asked Ashleigh as he stood on the aisle staring at the various baby things. How in the world was it possible that a baby would need this much stuff?
“I’m not sure I like that one,” Ashleigh told him as she briefly glanced at the stroller he’d been studying for the last half hour.
“Which one do you prefer?” he asked.
“It doesn’t matter,” she mumbled.
Alex turned to her then. All thoughts of strollers and bottles and cribs and bibs and diapers and… - holy shit babies required a lot of stuff – fled when he looked at her.
Luke, Sierra, Cole
“Where are you going?” Luke asked.
“I’ve got an errand to run,” Cole said without explanation.
Luke ground his teeth together to keep from pushing Cole to talk to him.
Cole smiled and Luke felt a chill race down his spine. So he wasn’t upset?
Sierra chose that moment to walk into the kitchen, coming right up to Cole and wrapping her arms around him. Luke just sat there at the kitchen table, watching the two of them.
